This well-respected and much sought after 1980 Yamaha XS650 Special has recently been imported from North America where its spent all its life.
As you can see there are a few bits missing; RH mirror being the most obvious. We also noticed that; the fuel tank is mucky inside, there is a hole in the end of the RH silencer, the seat cover is torn and there is an odd attachment to the chainguard.
The wheels look straight
The forks look straight with bright chrome
Headlight, tailight and indicators all look good
Instruments look ok and switches move freely
Mudguards are straight and solid
Chainguard look tidy
But best of all when we hooked it up to a booster battery and fed it fresh fuel we had it firing, running and revving however the carb leaks.
